City Council members serve four-year terms. Below are links to introduce you to present Councilmembers, their responsibilities, information about Council meetings, and some state laws governing open meetings.
You can Meet Your Council and get information on how to contact Councilmembers.
Each Councilmember has various Commissionerships because of Trinidad's unique form of government.
Regular Council Meetings are held twice a month with special meetings called as needed. All meeting are publicly noticed and also posted on this web site. You can download many of the documents for each Council meeting by going to the Documents To Download section of this web site.
Several state laws govern the conduct of Council meetings. One important
state law is the Brown Act, which requires
open meetings. A copy of the Brown Act in pdf format can be downloaded
